About the scent
Opens with a pinch of pepper and bergamot, then settles into soft cashmeran (a musky wood note that smells like warm cashmere). Calm and cosy, like a clean sweater. For the office and cool days from autumn to spring; on some skins it is barely noticeable, so starting with a decant is wise.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Bergamot· 24. An Italian citrus. Lemon peel and Earl Grey tea: bright and a little bitter.
- Pepper· 8. Black or pink pepper. A dry, fresh spice that tickles the nose a little.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- Cashmeran· 4. A synthetic material named after cashmere. Soft woody musk, like a warm wool jumper.
- Musk· 38. Synthetic molecules that smell of clean, warm skin. Like a jumper someone you love just wore.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Woody notes· 7. A general woody accord rather than one tree: dry, warm and slightly smoky.
- Amber· 12. Not a raw material but a warm blend of resins and vanilla. It is the soft, sweet warmth in a scent.
