About the scent
Opens with creamy almond milk and ambrette (musk mallow seeds that smell nutty, like warm skin). Then it settles into powdery iris and a vanilla musk that hugs rather than shouts, like a soft sweater. For cool days, dates and quiet evenings; in the heat it can feel too sweet.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Almond milk· 2. An accord that recreates almond milk. Soft, creamy and nutty, lightly sweet, without the sharpness of bitter almond.
- Ambrette· 4. Seeds of a hibiscus plant. They smell of soft musk with a hint of pear.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- Iris· 7. Oil from the root of the iris. Cool and powdery, like make-up powder, with a hint of carrot.
- Freesia· 4. A small spring flower from South Africa. Light and clean, a little sweet and peppery.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Tuberose· 6. A thick, creamy white flower. Loud and sweet, you notice it right away.
- Vanilla· 46. Pods of the vanilla orchid. Warm sweetness; in niche perfumes it comes with smoke and wood rather than smelling of cake.
- Tonka bean· 21. Seed of a South American tree. Almond, hay and vanilla at once: a cosy, edible note.
- Musk· 38. Synthetic molecules that smell of clean, warm skin. Like a jumper someone you love just wore.
