About the scent
Opens with juicy lychee and raspberry warmed by saffron. Then the rose slides into soft leather and oud (dark resinous wood with a smoky edge). Fruity, but grown-up rather than sugary. For autumn and winter evenings, dates and dinners; it carries far, so a light hand is enough.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Lychee· 3. An Asian fruit. Juicy and sweet, close to rose and grapes.
- Raspberry· 3. Ripe raspberry: sweet, juicy and a little tart, close to fresh jam.
- Saffron· 11. A spice from the stigmas of the crocus flower. Smells of leather and honey, a little metallic.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- Rose· 14. One of the main flowers of perfumery. It can smell of fresh petals with dew or of thick rose jam.
- Osmanthus· 4. Tiny flowers of an East Asian shrub. Apricot and peach with a touch of tea and soft suede.
- Tonka bean· 21. Seed of a South American tree. Almond, hay and vanilla at once: a cosy, edible note.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Agarwood (oud)· 8. Resin-soaked wood of the agar tree from Asia. Dark and thick: smoke, leather and a touch of medicine.
- Leather· 5. An accord that recalls leather. Soft suede or a new leather jacket; it can be smooth or smoky.
- Amberwood· 5. A synthetic woody amber accord. Dry, warm wood with a light sweetness.
