About the scent
Opens with honey and apricot, then turns to black tea and a cappuccino accord (notes blended to smell like milky coffee). It settles into vanilla and resinous woods: sweet, but not a dessert. For autumn and winter evenings or a cold day in town. Dense, so a light hand is enough.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Honey· 5. Honey and beeswax: thick sweetness with a warm, slightly animalic touch.
- . Ripe apricot: velvety, sweet and juicy, with a soft, jammy warmth.
- Mango· 2. Ripe mango: juicy, sweet and creamy, with a hint of green peel.
- Cardamom· 6. A spice from the ginger family. Fresh and cool, with a hint of eucalyptus and lemon.
- Ginger· 5. Fresh ginger root. Spicy and zesty, with a warm bite and a touch of lemon.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- . Dried leaves of the tea bush. Dry, tannic and a little smoky, like a cup of strong tea with a hint of honey.
- Coffee· 6. Roasted coffee beans: a little bitter, warm and invigorating.
- . An Indian herb related to wormwood. Fruity and boozy, like dried apricots soaked in cognac, with a herbal edge.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Tonka bean· 21. Seed of a South American tree. Almond, hay and vanilla at once: a cosy, edible note.
- Vanilla· 46. Pods of the vanilla orchid. Warm sweetness; in niche perfumes it comes with smoke and wood rather than smelling of cake.
- Cedar· 16. Oil from cedar wood. Dry wood, like a freshly sharpened pencil.
- Labdanum· 8. A sticky resin of the rockrose, a Mediterranean shrub. Warm and dark, with a leathery touch: the base of many amber scents.
- Patchouli· 14. Leaves of a tropical plant. Dark and earthy, with a hint of chocolate.
