About the scent
Opens with a splash of lemon, then dives into salty seaweed and calone (a molecule that smells of sea breeze). Not beach freshness but a storm: dark, salty and loud, and it divides people. Later the storm settles into musk and dry wood. For hot days and the seaside; best applied sparingly: even a drop fills a room.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Bergamot· 24. An Italian citrus. Lemon peel and Earl Grey tea: bright and a little bitter.
- Lemon· 8. Lemon peel: a fresh, sharp and sour smell.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- . Sea algae, usually recreated in perfume as an accord. Salty, iodine-like and a little green, like wet rocks at low tide.
- . A synthetic material inspired by sea air. Watery and ozonic, like a fresh sea breeze with a hint of watermelon.
- Hedione· 2. A synthetic material inspired by jasmine. Airy and transparent, with a light citrus freshness that makes a scent glow.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Musk· 38. Synthetic molecules that smell of clean, warm skin. Like a jumper someone you love just wore.
- Ambrox· 11. A synthetic material inspired by ambergris. Mineral, slightly salty warmth, like skin after the sea.
- Cedar· 16. Oil from cedar wood. Dry wood, like a freshly sharpened pencil.
