About the scent
Opens like a linden avenue in July: honey, pollen and a little apricot from broom (a wild shrub with yellow flowers). Heliotrope adds a soft almond powder, and vetiver (a smoky, earthy root) keeps it from turning cloying. For warm days, holidays and the office. Bright and cheerful, maybe too light for a winter evening.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- . Flowers of the linden tree, also brewed as tea. Honeyed and fresh, with a light green note, like a linden avenue in early summer.
- . Bright yellow flowers of Spanish broom, a Mediterranean shrub. Honeyed and sunny, with a touch of hay and green stems.
- Jasmine· 21. A white flower, sweet and a little animalic. It makes a scent warm and sensual.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- Heliotrope· 6. Small purple flowers whose scent perfumers recreate. Powdery almond and vanilla, like marzipan or cherry pie.
- Vetiver· 7. The root of a tropical grass. Smells of damp earth, a little smoke and nuts.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Woody notes· 7. A general woody accord rather than one tree: dry, warm and slightly smoky.
- Ambrox· 11. A synthetic material inspired by ambergris. Mineral, slightly salty warmth, like skin after the sea.
