About the scent
Opens with juicy mango, lemon and a pinch of saffron, then settles into suede (soft, velvety leather) and a cool, wet-stone feel. Sweet and fruity, yet the stone and leather keep it from turning into candy. Works from spring to autumn, day or evening. The first minutes prickle with saffron, then it turns soft and friendly.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Saffron· 11. A spice from the stigmas of the crocus flower. Smells of leather and honey, a little metallic.
- Lemon· 8. Lemon peel: a fresh, sharp and sour smell.
- Pink pepper· 7. Dried berries of the Peruvian pepper tree, not a true pepper. A light spice: fresh, a little fruity and resinous, with a gentle tingle.
- Mango· 2. Ripe mango: juicy, sweet and creamy, with a hint of green peel.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- Osmanthus· 4. Tiny flowers of an East Asian shrub. Apricot and peach with a touch of tea and soft suede.
- Violet leaf· 2. The leaves of the violet, not its flowers. Green and watery, with a cucumber-like freshness and a touch of earth.
- Orange blossom· 13. Flowers of the orange tree. Honeyed and clean, like fresh laundry and flowers at once.
- Ginger· 5. Fresh ginger root. Spicy and zesty, with a warm bite and a touch of lemon.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Immortelle· 2. A yellow flower that keeps its shape when dried. Smells of hay, honey and a little curry.
- Amber· 12. Not a raw material but a warm blend of resins and vanilla. It is the soft, sweet warmth in a scent.
- Mineral notes· 3. The smell of stone, wet pebbles and clean air. Cool and dry, with no sweetness.
- Patchouli· 14. Leaves of a tropical plant. Dark and earthy, with a hint of chocolate.
- Suede· 3. Soft suede leather. Smooth and a little powdery, gentler than ordinary leather.
