About the scent
Opens with a splash of rum and coconut, then settles into sugary vanilla and praline on a warm, soft base. Linear, meaning it barely changes from start to finish: sweetness without plot twists. For weekends, cosy dates and the colder months. A treat for the sweet-toothed; others may find it cloying.
Notes
Notes are what you smell in the scent. The top ones come first, the heart follows, the base stays with you the longest. The number next to a note is how many fragrances in the catalogue have it.
Top notes. The first 15–30 minutes after you put it on: what you smell straight away.
- Rum· 4. An accord that recalls dark rum: sweet and boozy, with molasses and spices.
- Lavender· 2. Lavender flowers. Herbal, clean and a little soapy: the base of many classic men’s scents.
Heart notes. Opens up after about half an hour and stays for a few hours: the character of the scent.
- Coconut· 4. Coconut flesh and milk: creamy, sweet and sunny, like a holiday by the sea.
- Praline· 7. Caramelised sugar and roasted nuts, like the filling of a chocolate.
Base notes. Stays the longest, until the end of the day: what you later notice on your clothes and scarf.
- Vanilla· 46. Pods of the vanilla orchid. Warm sweetness; in niche perfumes it comes with smoke and wood rather than smelling of cake.
- Cashmeran· 4. A synthetic material named after cashmere. Soft woody musk, like a warm wool jumper.
- Ambrox· 11. A synthetic material inspired by ambergris. Mineral, slightly salty warmth, like skin after the sea.
